Description
The user has to make basic checks before pushback, place the bar and pin, and initiate and complete the process of controlling all communications on the headset and ramp team. The user is not the pushback driver.
- Objective: The user has to identify ‘ready for pushback’ conditions, apply headset communication phraseology and ramp hand signals, initiate the procedure, monitor, and supervise engines’ start and release aircraft for self-taxiing
- Instructor’s controls/ parameters: four lighting conditions (day/ night, clear/ low viz), Two aircraft types (Narrow, Wide), scenarios (easy/ hard)
- Recommended involvement: User can perform 2-3 operations, total of 15-20 mins
