AAI’s IATA aviation safety fundamentals course training will provide you with a broad understanding of the application of safety processes within the aviation industry. You will learn basic concepts of system safety as they developed alongside the aviation industry. You will also learn about standards and practices for safety management with reference to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and CASA. You will recognize a systematic approach that is established using four main components including Safety Policy, Safety Assurance, Safety Risk Management, and Safety Promotion to manage safety and how human factors are related within the four components of safety. You will also develop a solid understanding of safety culture and its associated subcultures.

Course Duration: 1.5 Months

The IATA- aviation safety fundamentals course spans one  and a half months, with 2-hour classes held from Monday to Friday, as per the available slots between 10 AM to 4 PM. This focused approach allows for an immersive learning experience, covering key aspects  of safety in aviation industry.

Examination

The IATA- aviation safety fundamentals course culminates with an online exam conducted under Remote Supervision (OERS). The format consists of 60 multiple-choice questions, and it is a closed-course book exam. Participants are given a time allowance of 2.5 hours to complete the assessment. To pass the exam, candidates must achieve a minimum score of 60% correct answers. However, those who excel and score 90% correct answers or above receive a Distinction Grade. If needed, participants have two attempts to take the exam, providing an opportunity for further improvement and success in achieving the course certification.
